Objectives:
Cognitive: Students will use gathered information to create assigned written
project.
Behavioral: Students will practice taking turns by raising hands to respond to
problems/questions.
Behavioral: Students will work with cooperatively with a partner
to create written assignment.
Procedure: Conduct a general discussion focusing on the two groups
of soldiers (Students will take notes during this discussion.)
Students will attend the visit from the Reenactors and take
further notes and ask questions.
Students will read another handout focusing on the 2 groups of
soldiers.
Students will work with a partner to create list of similarities
And differences between the 2 groups.
Students will create a Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting
the two groups.
Students will present their Venn Diagram to the rest of the class.
Assessment:
Informal: Walk around the room while students are working together.
Formal: Successful completion of comprehensive Venn Diagram
Extension
Activity: Students will complete another Venn Diagram focusing on the
Book “My Brother Sam is Dead”.
